    JT Sitemap automatically filters common non-indexable and unsafe URLs such as administrator pages, login/register/logout pages, raw output URLs, JSON output URLs, tmpl=component links and unwanted task/token/return parameter URLs.

    It also applies smart default priority values for important page types such as home, product, shop, documentation, contact and policy pages.

    Simple workflow

    Install the package, open Components → JT Sitemap and click Rebuild Sitemap.

    If your Joomla root folder is writable, JT Sitemap can write a physical sitemap.xml file. The included system plugin can also serve the sitemap dynamically from /sitemap.xml.

    A really simple module that displays the date when a Joomla website was last “updated”. No, we’re not talking about displaying the date when you last updated your version of Joomla. We’re talking about displaying when you last published an article on your website. Simple idea; I’m quite surprised that no-one had thought about doing this in all the time that Joomla has been in existence.

    The module allows you to select some text (which could be displayed on one or two lines) that could be just about anything you can imagine. For example, if your website’s site name is "My Joomla site", the text could read:

    My Joomla site — Last updated: 31 May 2006

    The only requirement to make this work is to have at least one article that’s currently published and select the category (or categories) in which this article has been categorised. It couldn’t be easier. And, for what it does, it’s probably worth the cost of half a cup of coffee. If you have any suggestions for improving this, please let me know by writing a review and we’ll see what we can do. I’d love to read your feedback.

    This module probably works with all versions of Joomla (from J! 3.9 all the way to J! 6.x) but I haven’t had time to test it with everything. The module definitely works with J! 4.x and J! 5.x.
